Are you looking for help with addiction? If you find yourself unable to control your urge to use certain substances or engage in certain behaviors, U-center offers support through clinical treatment.
Please note that U-center does not offer detox services. In cases of severe addiction, external detoxification may be required before you can fully benefit from the psychotherapeutic treatment at U-center.
During your treatment, your care plan is based on a number of core interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy. Additional interventions include body-oriented treatments, expressive therapies and lifestyle change interventions. Individual sessions, group therapy, couples therapy and systemic therapy are also part of the program. It is important that you gradually become more active and rebuild a daily routine, structure and physical fitness. Throughout your treatment, we always take into account the underlying factors that may contribute to your addiction, such as your environment, personality and other possible causes.
When you want to overcome your addiction, the first step is to acknowledge that you are addicted to certain substances or behaviors. Overcoming an addiction is very difficult, which is why it is important to seek help. You may have already tried to stop or cut back several times, or you may have already undergone various therapies. Despite all the help you have received, you have not been able to get your addiction under control.
Sometimes outpatient care is not enough to overcome your addiction, and it can be beneficial to stay in a different environment during your treatment. At U-center, you start with an inpatient stay at the clinic. During your first contact with us, we will explain how the admission procedure works and explore together whether U-center could be the right treatment option for you.
During a short-term stay at U-center, you will receive comprehensive addiction treatment while we also look at the underlying factors that maintain your addiction. In our clinic for complex conditions, we work not only on your addiction, but also on the underlying causes.
Treating your addiction is part of a broader approach that focuses on your entire world. Our treatment is primarily practical in nature — meaning we do not just offer theories, but directly applicable changes. U-center has more than 15 years of experience in treating addictions.
In a treatment program at U-center, you will actively work on yourself. In addition to your addiction, we also look at underlying issues that play a role in your dependency. Addiction often involves multiple problems — think of a combination of depression, anxiety, trauma or another addiction. There may also be other causes or consequences that maintain your symptoms.
All of this calls for a tailored approach. That is why we work from an integrated perspective, taking into account everything that influences your life and your drug addiction, alcohol addiction or behavioral addiction — including your personality, relationships, family situation, work and physical health. Together with the treatment team, you will explore the causes of your addiction and use new insights to change the behavioral patterns that maintain your symptoms.
In an intensive program, we do everything we can to help you make progress in a short period of time. In turn, we also expect a great deal of commitment from your side. A residential stay offers the benefits of a short-term, intensive and integrated treatment of all conditions simultaneously. At every stage of the treatment, e-health is an integral part of your care plan.
For the first seven weeks, you will stay at our clinic in Epen. In a personal treatment plan, you set out what you want to achieve and how you will work towards this together with your treatment team during your stay. The welcoming environment and the many facilities within the clinic ensure that you have every opportunity to focus on yourself.
