Do you suspect that your employee is suffering from severe mental illness or addiction? Is outpatient treatment not (no longer) intensive and effective enough? Then go through the following checklist to investigate whether your employee might be eligible for and inpatient treatment
For example, there are:
- severe depression, anxiety, trauma, somatic symptom disorder, personality disorder, eating disorder and or addiction
- More than one mental health diagnosis (comorbidity)
- concomitant somatic problems
- Social, psychological or physical dysfunction
- Getting stuck in multiple areas of life
- prolonged or recurrent complaints
- previous (outpatient) treatments with insufficient results
- Overburdened support system or untenable home situation
- Need for a treatment environment that provides structure and protection
- A diagnostic question that can only be investigated in the clinical setting
- Need to adjust clinically to medication or to taper off medication
With a combination of several factors from this list, your employee is probably eligible for inpatient treatment. If in doubt, you can still refer your employee to our triage center for proper indication.
What else is good to know? Our program is suitable for people who have a strong interest in getting better and are willing to work hard to do so. We treat clients as young as 18 years old. We pay great attention to work resumption, a meaningful day activity and reintegration into society. The program can also be offered entirely in English. U-center has a contract with many health insurers, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
