You can get treatment at U-center quickly. We can process your application within a few days and schedule the first telephone intake. Please contact the Communication Center to find out when you can arrive for treatment.

You will receive an invitation to your recording day in advance. This will tell you on which day you are expected and at what time. Prior to your admission you will have an online indication interview.
A medical screening will take place on the first day of admission.
You will receive more information about your final treatment plan right at the beginning of your admission. Prior to your admission, you will receive general information about the course of your admission and about our code of conduct for clients and staff.
The clinic has a code of conduct for clients and staff. This contains a lot of information about what to expect during a stay at our treatment center. View the code of conduct.
At U-center, we can treat many mental health conditions. In particular, we specialize in treating multiple diagnoses at the same time (comorbidity). Yet even we cannot help everyone. For more information, see our terms and criteria page. Of course, you can also call us for questions and advice.
U-center treats adults 18 and older.
If you are tied to daily intensive physical care or hospital visits, we unfortunately cannot provide you with the appropriate help.Should you be severely underweight (BMI below 17) in combination with anorexia nervosa and/or require tube feeding, a specialized facility is more appropriate.
U-center's program is geared to people of average to high intelligence. Treatment can take place in the Dutch language or in English in the international teams. Sufficient command of this is therefore necessary. For more information, see our conditions & criteria page.
Visitors are welcome on Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 to 5:30 pm. You may go out with the visit, but we ask that you be back at the treatment center before dinner. See the family and loved ones page for more information about visiting and contact.
You are not allowed to use your own motorized transport during your stay in Epen. We therefore request that you be brought to U-center by family or friends or by using public transportation.
Your loved ones may be kept informed by your mentor/director during your admission, but only with your written consent.
You will stay at the clinic every night during your admission, including weekends.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to take a tour of the clinic at any time prior to any admission. This is in connection with safeguarding the privacy of the clients currently in our clinic. If you would still like to get an impression of U-center, we recommend viewing a webinar.
Would you like to be treated at U-center? Then of course you want to know whether your Dutch health insurer will reimburse the cost of treatment. On the page costs and insurance you will find more information. We always make sure that you know exactly where you stand financially before you start.
You will receive an invoice from our finance department for the additional contribution no later than one week before admission. This must be transferred before admission.
Each room is equipped with a television.
Each room is equipped with a private bathroom.
You don't have to clean your room yourself. The cleaning staff takes care of this.
Our treatment center is equipped with a sauna, pool and gym. For more information, see the facilities page.

You will receive a list prior to the shoot with a summary of all the items you need to think about yourself.
You should bring your own bathrobe.
You should bring your own sports towel.
This is not necessary. Bath towels are provided in your room.
Washing machines and dryers are available at the clinic. You do need to bring your own washing powder/ fabric softener.
Yes, you may. We would like to remind you that there is a covered bicycle parking area at the back of the clinic, but it is unguarded.
It is possible.
Yes, but you may use your cell phone only in your own room. Cell phone use is not allowed in public areas. The same applies in the evenings.
No, you may bring your tablet to the clinic, but it must remain in your own room throughout the day.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our clinic.
Your guide dog/assistance dog may come along, provided it is officially registered as a guide dog/assistance dog.
Breakfast and lunch consist of an extensive, healthy and delicious buffet composed of (mostly organic) local produce. U-center offers varied, daily fresh and healthy meals, taking allergies into account. We ask you to communicate these in advance, so that our cooks can take them into account.
In principle, clients are required to eat with their own group three times a day, but it is also possible to have an occasional meal in the room. However, these will be exceptional cases. Everything happens anyway in consultation with the relevant mentor assigned to you.
U-center discourages the use of alternative medication/nutritional supplements not prescribed by a physician. Therefore, you may not take these.
